Does WD40 Really Do All this?

Before you read to the end, does anybody know what the main ingredient of WD-40 is?

Don't lie and don't cheat!

I heard a story of someone who had bought a new pickup.

A vandal had spray painted red all around the sides of this beige truck (for some unknown reason).

The owner was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do.

A neighbor came out and told him to get his WD-40 and clean it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully and did not harm his paint job that was on the truck.

The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company.

Its name comes from the project that was to find a 'water displacement' compound. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40.

The Convair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts.

Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you.

When you read the 'shower door' part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door.

If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It's a miracle! Then try it on your stove top ... Voila!

It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.

Here are some other uses:

1. Protects silver from tarnishing.

2. Removes road tar and grime from cars.

3. Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.

4. Gives floors that 'just-waxed' sheen without making them slippery.

5. Keeps flies off cows.

6. Restores and cleans chalkboards.

7. Removes lipstick stains.

8. Loosens stubborn zippers.

9. Untangles jewelry chains.

10. Removes stains from stainless steel sinks.

11. Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill.

12. Keeps ceramic/terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing.

13. Removes tomato stains from clothing.

14. Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots.

15. Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors.

16. Keeps scissors working smoothly.

17. Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes.

18. It removes black scuff marks from the kitchen floor! Use WD-40 for those nasty tar and scuff marks on flooring. It doesn't seem to harm the finish and you won't have to scrub nearly as hard to get them off. Just remember to open some windows if you have a lot of marks.

19. Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly! Use WD-40!

20. Gives a children's playground gym slide a shine for a super fast slide.

21. Lubricates gear shift and mower deck lever for ease of handling on riding mowers.
22. Rids kids rocking chairs and swings of squeaky noises.

23. Lubricates tracks in sticking home windows and makes them easier to open.

24. Spraying an umbrella stem makes it easier to open and close.

25. Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as vinyl bumpers.

26. Restores and cleans roof racks on vehicles.

27. Lubricates and stops squeaks in electric fans.

28. Lubricates wheel sprocket s on tricycles, wagons, and bicycles for easy handling.

29. Lubricates fan belts on washers and dryers and keeps them running smoothly.

30. Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools.

31. Removes splattered grease on stove.

32. Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging.

33. 34. Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell).

35. Removes all traces of duct tape.

36. Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain.

37. Florida 's favorite use is: 'cleans and removes love bugs from grills and bumpers.

38. The favorite use in the state of New York, WD-40 protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements.

39. WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a little on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that purpose. Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are not allowed in some states.

40. Use it for fire ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch.

41. WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray on the mark and wipe with a clean rag.

42. Also, if you've discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and rewash. Presto! The lipstick is gone!

43. If you sprayed WD-40 on the distributor cap, it would displace the moisture and allow the car to start.

P.S. The basic ingredient is FISH OIL. Castrol doesn't work.

Video Software You Can Give Away To Help Build Your List

With increasing access to broadband, video is now possible for virtually everyone to use.

Video is the new must have, not only for internet marketers but for anyone with a website or a blog.

Even if your business is local, and you have a website, why not have video on your site with your latest promotions and special offers?

Video can help build your list of customers regardless of your industry. Perhaps you could make a video to send as part of an email campaign?

But!...hold on...is this something else that needs to be learnt?

You’re running a business and you don’t have time to stop and learn, and isn’t it another expense?

Well, this is where EasyVideoProducer makes things easy for you. It’s useful piece of software that makes recording video quick and simple.

I found I could make a video in a matter of minutes with just several clicks.

My other concern was if I spent money on something and find it’s too complicated to use then I’m out of pocket. Don’t have to worry here…EasyVideoProducer is free to use!

That was important to me because I didn’t know if I would be able to use the software, and I didn’t want to pay for something I wasn’t sure I could even use.

Take a look at the videos below I’ve obtained from Joel Therien, who created EasyVideoProducer, and you’ll see all the reasons why you should try this.

Don’t forget, you’re not risking anything…it’s free!

Twitter Applications

This week I joined twitter to see how quickly followers would come. So far, in 2 days I have 42.

I also started looking for other twitter applications to help me. These are the ones I found so far.

www.twellow.com is like a Yellow Pages and, at the time or writing, is totally free! Twellow is a directory of public Twitter accounts, with hundreds of categories and search features to help you find people who matter to you.

Registering allows you to update your Twellow profile and categories, add links to your other social media profiles, create an extended 2000 character bio with whatever information and links you would like to add, and easily follow other Twitter users right from Twellow!

Next is www.twitterfeed.com where you can set up your blog to feed directly via RSS to your Twitter account. So every time you make a blog post, it gets tweeted automatically on your behalf.

Then we have www.TweetGlide.com which is really clever!

You get the url service which converts your long url into a short one, all done with a single click on your mouse. With the short url services integrated, you also get advanced tracking.

This enables you to see how many times people click on your links, and from which tweets they clicked on them. Very useful for tracking.

You also have Facebook integration so that when you tweet, you can also automatically post to your Facebook wall.

With TweetGlide you can tweet more than 140 characters. With most other Twitter clients, you can only use 140 characters, because that’s default at Twitter.

With TweetGlide you can use as many characters as you want. The first 80 characters will be posted on Twitter, followed by:

“To read the rest of this post click here: http://domain.com/45g567”

So when people click on the link, they’re taken to the TweetGlide blog to read the rest of the message.

Soon TweetGlide will also have a multiple account function and, with all the followers in your profile you can bulk follow or bulk unfollow.

These, and many other features, will help save your time when using Twitter.

There’s also a feature that makes this software very interesting as an internet marketing tool.

Finally, there's www.friendfeed.com which is an automating tool you can use in conjunction with Twitter.

It’s like a hub where you can set up links to all your other Social Media accounts. Friendfeed collects information from those accounts and publishes it in your Friendfeed feed.

Although Friendfeed is a topic almost in itself, I mention it here particularly because of it's ability to link your Twitter and Facebook accounts among others.

If you have a Facebook account and you link it, and your Twitter Accounts, in Friendfeed, then what will happen is that all your posts in Twitter will be posted on your wall at Facebook.

It means you can run two social media accounts via one to save you time.

Take a look at Friendfeed here

Writing Multiple Articles From One

Brett, my business partner, and I are creating a new website to help people starting on the net learn how to build a customer list.

In creating this new website I discovered something I find very laborious! Article writing!

I know I could get someone from eLance.com or Guru.com to write them but what if it's 1am(yeh...we all do it sometimes!) and you're, sort of, in the mood?

I happened to be talking to another friend, Alan, who told me about a piece of software he'd bought to help him.

Now, Alan, by his own admission is not the world's best at article writing or grammer. He writes an article of 500 words and it's nearly all one sentence!

You think I'm joking?

He'd tried another multiple article writing software recently and wasn't happy with the results. It didn't change enough words and that could lead to duplicate content problems!

He'd wasted his money! Then, a short while after he found another piece of software which seemed much better. He took the plunge and bought a copy...

He became impressed when he had a couple of questions about using it. He tried contacting the software creator and was able to chat with him to get his answers.

Alan has now been able to take one article and create several other genuine and unique articles from it.

Estimated time saved is about 6 hours and more importantly other work gets done sooner.

So we decided to add this software to our range of products and you can read some more at www.MassArticleWriting.com

I know!...the links don't work yet...I've gone for a walk :-)

Cherries Sports & Cherries Network

Do you think you could be interested in a business which for 5 years has helped some people get an average of 11% per month?

Then you should look at UK based Cherries Sports which has a proven track record giving this return.

The Cherries Laying System, the original core business, was first marketed to the general public in January 2004 and in 2009 adopted a referral plan under the Cherries Network name.

This has created a brilliant income concept using a 3 x 7 matrix.

What Cherries Sports does not do is attempt spectacular coups or fancy accumulators- the average gambler, in other words the losing gambler, would probably find theie strategies very boring!

Cherries Sports has been proving itself to be the antidote for many people for more than four years. If you're tired of empty promises, and you want to know definitively how to start making regular profits then you’re in the right place at the right time.

Cherries Sports has adopted a pragmatic attitude to its involvement with The Sport Of Kings. Thanks to the evolvement of the Betting Exchanges and the scrapping of Betting Tax, they now effectively have the ability to back a horse to LOSE.

With Cherries Sports you have the chance to get a superb return on your money by acting on the recommendations sent by text message to your cell phone.

With Cherries Network, the referral income potential is another great way to develop a recurring income.

Each time you introduce a new member you will earn £100!

You Want Freedom?...Then Start An Internet Business!

Do you want a business that allows you to work from another country?

Then consider an internet business which either doesn't have a physical product or has a product delivery system that doesn't require your personal involvement.

And if you want to benefit from the leverage principle then go towards network marketing.

Two that I’ve chosen for my purposes are Global Virtual Opportunities and Cherries Laying System.

Let’s take Global Virtual Opportunities first… It doesn’t matter what product or services you’re marketing online, or offering through any network marketing company you may be involved in, this company has marketing tools to help you make more money and grow your business.

All the products are software which everyone accesses through the site and, of course, as there are no pills or potions to be approved anyone in any country can become a user of them.

As I said, whatever your online activity you’ll need some of the marketing tools available.

The company has a 12 year track record, so they’re reliable and consistent.

Take a look at this brief video for more information.

Cherries Laying System is a very different business.

Firstly, in some countries, the income you may earn from the core business is tax free. This core business is betting on a horse, team or individual to lose…not too win…but to lose.

The company has been running this service for about 5 years and have given their members an average return of 10-11% per month throughout that time…Tax Free!

And now they’ve added a referral plan, so you could have your quarterly subscription paid for by commissions you earn when friends you’ve recommended also subscribe to the service.

You could be sitting in a hotel overlooking the beach and working on your laptop sending emails to your team, the customers in your business, or simply acting on the latest advice from Cherries.

Funny how everything tastes sweeter under those conditions!

You can read more about the Cherries service here.

You want freedom?...then start an internet business!

Global Virtual Opportunities Internet Marketing Tools & Hosting

This company Global Virtual Opportunities can help your online marketing activities tremendously.

It doesn’t matter what product or services you’re marketing online or offering through your network marketing company Global Virtual Opportunities has marketing tools to help you make more money and grow your business.

How much are you paying for your email autoresponder for example?

What are you paying for your conference room? Perhaps you’re not using one because of the cost?

Are you unsure how to create a lead capture page that converts into leads and ultimately buyers? Maybe you don’t know html, ftp, web design or other components needed to create a great lead capture and online presence.

In today's social media marketplace you NEED to have videos on your web site or you’ll be left behind! I know how harsh that sounds but it is true.

Video converts sales 3 times more than ad copy alone.

With Global Virtual Opportunities you can use Easy Video Producer.

This tool allows you to put professionally designed videos onto your web site with one click of a mouse and it is FREE with your account!

How would you like to know, automatically, when your site goes down?...or if a client site goes down? If that happened and your client rings to tell you their site is down…then it’s “Bye Bye” client and “Bye Bye” income!

Web site uptime services are pricey, but included with your package is full master resell rights to an award winning and proprietary software called DowntimeWitness.

With the GVO Titanium package you can have these marketing tools, and more, PLUS hosting for all your sites, and client sites, for one low monthly cost of $44.95.

Do things right and that cost is easily recovered by the income you would earn recommending Global Virtual Opportunities to others.

The company has a 12 year track record, so we know they’re reliable and consistent. Many well known internet marketers already host their sites with them, including:

Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Stephen Pierce, Frank Kern, Tellman Knudson, Michael Cheney, Mark Call, Dina Call, Ken Hammond, Jeff Johnson, Frank Rumbauskas, Frank Bauer, Derrick Van Dyke, Ewen Chia, Mike Koenigs, Frank Sousa, Daegen Smith, Glenn Mosser, Todd Gross, Joel Broughton, Bram Smith, Mike Stewart, Maria Andros, Janel Legere, Jane Mark, Phil Basten, Gerry Schroeder, Jamie Ohler, Jerry Meyer, Ken Mcarthur.

Looks like a Who's Who of the internet marketing world doesn't it!

Anyway...because of the cost reduction and all the extra services and training we've decided to move our websites to Global Virtual Opportunities. So take a look for yourself and get the same benefits!

Washington Post's Mensa Invitational 2009

The Washington Post's Mensa invitational once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition

Inspiration & Motivation

I’ve gathered together a few videos from Youtube to help us all remember what we’re capable of doing when we’re focused and determined to achieve our dreams and goals.

We all have those moments of despair when nothing seems to be working, but when the seeds have been sown you can never stop trying. Failure only becomes reality when you’ve given up.

So, when you feel like that come back to this page and watch, listen and feel what others, who have achieved their goals, have gone through and realise you’re not alone with your battles.

We all have those inner conflicts of doubt…so FIGHT THEM!!...and NEVER let go of YOUR dreams!

As a result of trawling the net or someone sending me an email I come across stories which either inspire me or bring tears to my eyes. The story about Randy Pausch did both…

He was a Carnegie Mellon computer science professor and passed away 25th July 2008 at the age of 47 from pancreatic cancer.

Randy became famous for his inspirational Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams delivered in September 2007.

Many professors give talks entitled “The Last Lecture” in which they are asked to imagine that this would indeed be their ‘last lecture’ and to convey the most important things they’ve learned during their lives.

Professor Pausch didn’t have to imagine the scenario.

He was one month into a cancer diagnosis that gave him only 3-6 months to live… and yet his lecture wasn’t the least bit sad, depressing or about dying.

It was about making the most of every second you’ve got while on the planet.

A video of the lecture was posted to YouTube which you can see
here.

His story about pouring the drink on the back seat of his car was the best example I’ve ever heard of “balance.” To see what I mean
watch this video at the Oprah show

Battle in the Kruger

This amazing sequence is a once in a lifetime viewing. How the calf managed to evade death beats me! In a way it's inspiring...the calf didn't give up and neither did the herd...very unusual.

Tony Robbins & The Rocky Story

Keep The Hunger!! Never give up and when people say "you can't do that" what they really mean is they couldn't do it! Proves you should never listen to others…just follow your dream.
I love the part where Stallone is determined to get his dog back.

Online Saving with Ei42.com

Here's an interesting example of the saving I made by using my Ei42 shop.

My car insurance was coming up for renewal on the 31st May and before I blindly accepted the renewal quote I went to www.confused.com

After all…the ads say it’s a great comparison site…and that function would save me time!

I received my quotes…and then visited my Ei42 shop to see if the AA was listed.

Confused.com had shown me that the AA was offering the best deal...and I could pay monthly.

The AA was listed in the shop so I clicked on the link. I went straight to the AA website, obtained a quote, accepted the figure of about £18 per month and completed the transaction.

About 30 minutes later I checked in my Ei42 back office and there it was…a confirmed transaction.

My personal rebate?...£34.65!! That almost pays for the first two monthly payments!

Getting the quotes on confused.com and then the AA site took all of 20 minutes!

Remember the monthly payment is about £18, so the total premium is around £218...and my rebate was £34.65!

Is your car insurance coming up for renewal soon?...

If it is take a look at
Ei42.com and start saving!

Sanctuary Photographs

Yup…I’ve even been a landscape photographer…and really should never have stopped! I had a few exhibitions and had work published in magazines including a front cover but never made much money from it.

The exhibitions were great for the soul…but lousy for the pocket!

The photo used for the magazine cover was this one of the Pinnacles Desert in Western Australia, an amazing and very spiritual place.

Located in the Nambung National Park, the Pinnacles are limestone pillars rising up to three and a half metres tall. Some are jagged and sharp-edged columns, rising up to a point; while others resemble tombstones.

If ever you take a holiday in Western Australia you have to see the Pinnacles Desert!

The photography started by accident when a girlfriend and I decided to go travelling. I just thought I’d better buy a camera to have some photos of the journey. We were going to the USA, New Zealand and Australia and it was while we were driving across the States I discovered a passion for taking landscape photographs.

Ask me to take wedding photos, or portraits of children, or pets and you won’t see me for dust. I’d be shouting something about having no patience!!

Put me in a landscape and I’d happily wait, and have done so, for 2 or 3 hours for the right light! Go figure that one!...I can’t.

If you’d like to see a few more photos take a look at

Failures Are Only Part Of Our Success Path!

When I feel that things aren't going my way, I read this 19th century story which shows that failures are indeed part of our success path.

A summary of a great American…

• 1831 - Lost his job

• 1832 - Defeated in run for Illinois State Legislature

• 1833 - Failed in business

• 1834 - Elected to Illinois State Legislature (success)

• 1835 - Sweetheart died

• 1836 - Had nervous breakdown

• 1838 - Defeated in run for Illinois House Speaker

• 1843 - Defeated in run for nomination for U.S. Congress

• 1846 - Elected to Congress (success)

• 1848 - Lost re-nomination

• 1849 - Rejected for land officer position

• 1854 - Defeated in run for U.S. Senate

• 1856 - Defeated in run for nomination for Vice President

• 1858 - Again defeated in run for U.S. Senate

• 1860 - Elected President (success)

Recognize the man in the story?

It was Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States of America.

Here's a great guy!...my Dad! He's just celebrated his 91st birthday on the 1st September!

He spends a lot of time on the internet, he loves his digital photography...and he emails me the rude jokes!!

I walked into the living room one afternoon, and there he was reading a 3" thick book about Photoshop!

He does not stop learning! Perhaps I should get him to start making some money on the net.

I have a feeling he'd get a buzz from that!

Love ya Dad!!

UK Credit Card & Loan Audits

There’s a really interesting situation in the UK regarding loans and credit cards. It seems there’s a problem with flawed Terms & Conditions based on the Consumer Credit Act of 1974.

Apparently, if you have a credit card or loan where the account was opened before 6th April 2007 it’s possible that the contract may contain errors.

If this is shown to be the case it’s possible your debt may be declared unenforceable.

Some friends have taken the first steps to see if they can have their cards cancelled and the debt written off so when I have some more news I’ll post it here.

In the meantime you can call me on 020 300 27980 or 07770 378191 if you’d like to know what to do about any cards you may have.

This report in the
DailyMail on the 30th September 2009 and this one from the BBC are about the same lady and her MBNA credit card.

Do You Shop Online?

I had an email from somebody one Saturday morning apologising for sending it! I read the content and thought “Oh yeh…where’s the catch?” My initial thought was to delete it but I went to the site to see exactly what it was about.

What I read about a business called Ei42 really did seem like a good idea. Have to admit I’ve never used a cashback site as I didn’t shop online much…other than website related stuff.

Anyway, this appealed because there was no money to hand over…always interested in that angle!

I realised there was no joining fee or monthly fee! Also, there was no monthly purchase required to qualify for any earnings. Seemed hard to believe but, as it turned out I needn’t have worried.

You just sign up and tell your friends about it.

When you become a member you have a website with a name of your choosing on it,
like this one.

This is your shop where you can buy things for yourself, and by doing that you receive a percentage of the Ei42.com commissions…that’s your cashback.

But you can also tell your friends to join via your shop and whenever they buy something from their shop you get a share of the Ei42.com affiliate commission.

The owners of Ei42.com have affiliate links on the site for over 1500 UK retailers including UK high street names such as B & Q, Carphone Warehouse, Comet, Dixons, Next, PC World and many more.

Recently the US site was opened so you've also got plenty of choice with Ei42.

So, instead of buying direct from those sites go to your Ei42.com shop and then choose the relevant link.

You end up at the same retail site paying the same price for your purchase…but because you’ve accessed the site via your Ei42.com shop you get a share of the affiliate commission. I guess that makes it a bit like an online co-operative where all the members receive a share of the profits.

It’ll take a while to build up any decent kind of income but if you personally spend a lot online you’ll also start creating a decent cashback for yourself.

When I tell people about this I often hear the question “Where’s the catch?”

I can understand that…I looked for one, but there really isn’t a catch. I’m getting a small income each month already and it hasn’t cost me anything!

What's This Blog About?

It’s about learning how to make a living on the internet and using those experiences to help others do the same. It’s also realising that one of the most important ingredients required is focus.

It’s also about the challenges of starting again at 61, with zero capital, after being made bankrupt by the Inland Revenue!

Anybody else in that position?
Now, before I get accused of feeling sorry for myself. I don’t…the bankruptcy happened and I’m getting on with life!

Telling you about it is just setting the scene in case you thought I’ve thrown a load of money into building websites…far from it.

In the past 12 months I’ve had times when I’ve had about £5 for fuel for the car. But no matter what happens you NEVER give up!

I have the dreams and I’m working towards the reality. I’ve also had a lot of support from friends.

Going back to the comment about focus. The lack of it was my biggest problem when I started using the internet.

Information overload and many instances of “link wandering” (an internet version of a conversation going off at a tangent…followed by another tangent etc etc) and suddenly you realise that the website you should be looking at was about 30 links and 3 hours ago and you’ve done no work!

How many youtube videos have you watched in one sitting not realising how much time has passed?
So why do I want an online income? Simply to leave the UK!...or, at least, be able to bugger off for the winter and work where the pc is!

Living in Thailand or the Philippines, working from home, wearing shorts, enjoying 30 degrees and eating out for about USD6 per person is, for some reason, very appealing…lol

I’ve been self-employed since I was 28 and for 3 years, up until about 4 years ago, I was a mortgage broker…really good at getting other people out of tight financial corners but slipped up with my own affairs!

I decided to stop relying on a one to one business (mortgage broking) and find something with leverage and preferably on the internet. My reason for that was to have a business that wouldn’t be country specific.

The problem with the internet is too many opportunities. And waaay too much to read!

What have I learnt? Find what feels right and stick with it.

Don’t have the attitude “it’s working for him/her so I’ll try it.”

That’ll lead to the 10 week syndrome! After 10 weeks you’ve not made any money so you look around for the next “opportunity.”

And on the internet there are plenty of those waiting to haul you in.

The net has its bad side if you get caught up in the information whirlpool…and your head ends up spinning just as fast.

Focus, Focus, Focus…those are the three major requirements for any business, especially on the net.

It’s amazing how many people age 50 plus who are trying to re-build their lives and create an income or a second income to improve a dwindling pension. They’ve built a website and are using the internet because of the ability to sell to a worldwide market.

But…can you imagine opening a single shop in a huge housing estate, let’s say, the size of Europe. Unless people just happen to walk by and see the shop exactly how do you tell them you exist?

Yes… I know…you advertise…you market your business but on the internet how?...where?

At the time of writing this, October 2009, I decided to start a blog partly as a record of progress with our sites and also, I hope, to help others who get a bit lost on the net.

And by writing this and helping others do the same is a constant reminder for me.

FOCUS! FOCUS! FOCUS!

Best wishes
